About the Journal. Its Aims and Scope

The International Соmmercial Arbitration Review is a specialized Russian journal focused both academically and practically on the issues of international commercial and investment arbitration in Russia and abroad, as well as on the matters connected with them (including on private international law and international litigation).

The journal has been published since 2010, being the successor to the journal International Commercial Arbitration which was published between 2004 and 2008 and was highly esteemed by Russian and foreign specialists.

International Commercial Arbitration Review is published biannually in Russian.
Articles and materials are published in the journal in Russian and in English.

All issues of the journal (starting from 2004) are available in full free of charge in electronic form in pdf searchable format. Over 30 issues of the journal and almost 500 articles in Russian and English may be found at: http://arbitrationreview.ru/soderzhanie-nomerov .

Since 2017 the International Commercial Arbitration Review has been included in the authoritative database Kluwer Arbitration (http://www.kluwerarbitration.com). Presently Kluwer Arbitration covers 12 journals from various jurisdictions, with the Review being the only Russian publication.

Since 2018 the International Commercial Arbitration Review has been added to the Russian Science Citations Index (RSCI) (www.elibrary.ru, the Russian academic bibliographic and reference database).

The mission of the journal is to be a reliable and independent professional source of interesting and useful information about the tendencies, events and nuances in modern international commercial and investment arbitration both in Russia and abroad; and to contribute to the development of arbitration as an alternative form of resolving international commercial and investment disputes by publishing academic articles and practical materials by Russian and foreign researchers and arbitrators.

  • Articles by leading Russian experts on international commercial and investment arbitration, private international law, international litigation;
  • Overviews and comments on the most recent and most significant amendments to Russian and foreign legislation regarding the regulation of international commercial and investment arbitration as well as challenging and enforcing international arbitration awards;

You will have the opportunity to take a look at the cases of the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Maritime Arbitration Commission (MAC) at the same Chamber;

The journal also introduced the listing on the websites of the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Maritime Arbitration Commission (MAC) at the same Chamber of many books about the ICAC and the MAC: their history, bibliography and statistics, as well as about their practice. The MAC practice history is available starting from 1932 while ICAC practice is presented starting from 1995 (all of the books by professor М. Rozenberg on this practice are available). The International Commercial Arbitration Review is independent of any governmental, municipal or commercial establishments. It is a professional platform for all specialists interested in international commercial and investment arbitration in Russia and abroad, and was launched privately, without any financial support from governmental or municipal authorities.

All of the articles and materials published in the journal are subject to anonymous (double-blind) peer review and professional editing.

The journal is issued by the Association of Researchers in Private International and Comparative Law with the support of Muranov, Chernyakov & Partners and the participation of:
